DB Electric Loco, 101 024-8
To replace aging electric locomotives of the legendary E 03 series, the Deutsche Bahn AG purchased 145 "Baureihe 101" high speed locos over a very short period of time (1996-1999). The LGB model includes headlights that switch automatically according to the direction of travel, so the proper “face” is always lighted. Naturally, the cab is also illuminated, and the entry doors can be opened. Two Bühler motors give the model enormous pulling power, and it is equipped with an “onboard” Multi-Train System decoder for automatic compatibility on both MTS and analog layouts.
